Make Your Sweatshirt Look SmallerThis is a featured page

I have had the instance of asking for a sweatshirt hooded then ended up receiving something that was a size too big for me. Being the fashionista that I am, I was able to do some fashion tricks to make my oversize sweatshirt look just right for me and you can learn some more through these tips as well.

If the sweatshirt is in a light color I usually dye it into a darker color. This is because clothing items in dark colors easily gives the impression that you are smaller. This is the solution for you if you do not mind changing the color of your hooded sweatshirt. All you have to do is to buy a fabric dye at your local fabric or craft store and dye the garment. If you have not tried dying before make sure that you do a test run on a rag first.

When you want to maintain the color, and the size difference is not that big then you can wear your sweatshirt along with larger pants. If you wear it with tight fitting clothes it will only emphasize its largeness but if you happen to have baggy pants on, the largeness of the sweatshirt can easily blend well with it.

Another trick to hide the largeness of your sweatshirt hooded is to keep the hood down. When there is less material of the sweatshirt showing and more of you become visible this will give the illusion that you have a smaller shirt. When you put your hood on, it will be as if you are engulfed in the sweatshirt and would only make your sweatshirt look bigger.

You can also roll the sleeves of your hooded sweatshirt up. Showing more of your arm would help make the sweatshirt look smaller. You have to be sure that you do not bunch up the sleeves when you fold it so that you would not look bulky. The extra bulk would only just make the shirt look larger. Fold the sleeves with the longest folds possible.

Another way to make a sweatshirt hooded look smaller is to shorten the ties or drawstrings especially if they are long. If you let them hang down low then you will only make it more obvious that the sweatshirt is too long. You can always trim it and tie it off to make them shorter.

These tips are a lot better than simply shrinking the sweatshirt and risk it being deformed. I hope these tips would help you out.
